The Herding program at Rancho Terra Norté has been in existence since April, 2003. It has been associated with Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club and Continental Divide Herding Association and enjoys access to the resources an All-breed and Performance club can provide. With BVKC we held our first herding match in July, 2004 and since then have been putting on AKC herding tests/trials in April and October. In 2020, CDHA started holding its annual herding trials at RTN in conjunction with BVKC's Fall trials offering A, B, C, and D courses with HT/PT/PTwBoundary/FDC tests.
The cooperative’s regional membership is diverse. Most of our members are active in their regional and national breed clubs. In addition we have members who are accredited ASCA, AHBA and AKC herding judges.
